Nigerian Aquamarine

The color of these natural blue Aquamarine ranges from medium blue, through light blue, to pastel blue-green. They are mined from narrow stock-work veins in the copula zone of the younger granite intrusions in various parts of Nigeria. They have a very good hardness of 7.5 to 8.0; Refractive index = 1.56 to 1.59; density = 2.68 to 2.73; sizes are 1.5g or bigger per piece. Because of their good sizes, they will give excellent yields.
