Mr. Calistus Adeniyi Abe is the owner and Chief Operating Officer of FASSOCA GEMS. He is a graduate of Geology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. (1980); and a Lapidary He is a corporate member of Nigerian Mining & Geosciences Society of Nigeria by qualification, practice & experience; a member of International Gem Society (IGS); and a member of Solid Minerals Association of Nigeria. He also holds the Accounting Technician Certificate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; and he is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He worked in various capacities in the oil, education and Accounting sectors of the Nigeria economy till mid 1994. In 1994, he willfully resigned to venture into private business and thus shifted base from Lagos to Jos, where he had since been doing his business of sourcing and trading in Gemstones and other Nigerian solid minerals.

Mr. Calistus has exemplary experience in the nitty-gritty of the gem trade both at the local and international levels. By reason of his wide exposure in the Gem trade, he knows very well the exact quality demands of the various Gem market worldwide. As a Gem expert, he personally handles the sourcing, inspection, selection and the grading of the facet roughs with the assistance of highly skilled and experienced field men to meet the quality tastes of his numerous customers. He and three other Lapidaries form the team of custom cut specialists that currently do the faceting jobs of FASSOCA GEMS. He is happily married and blessed with four children.
